On July 24, Maritime Paper celebrated a remarkable milestone, marking 95 years in business with an anniversary event held at its Dartmouth facility.

The celebration brought together employees, family shareholders, directors, and invited guests to recognize the people, relationships, and values that have helped shape the company since its founding on July 6, 1931. Guests heard remarks from Maritime Paper President & CEO Sheldon Gouthro, Scotia Investments Limited President & CEO Randy MacMillan, and Family Council Chair Leslie Bishop before taking part in a commemorative cake cutting, group photo, and anniversary luncheon.

Over the past 95 years, Maritime Paper has grown from a small corrugated packaging manufacturer into one of Atlantic Canada’s leading packaging companies. The celebration provided an opportunity to reflect on the generations of people who have contributed to that success while looking ahead to the future.
