Scotia Investments Engages in Halifax Partnership’s Productivity Dialogue

On April 2nd, the Halifax Partnership hosted its inaugural event, bringing together leaders from across the province to explore the pressing challenges and opportunities surrounding productivity in Nova Scotia.

Scotia Investments Limited was proud to be represented by our President & CEO, Randy MacMillan, who joined a distinguished panel that included Julia Rivard Dexter, Co-founder and CEO of Shoelace Learning, and Ken Cartmill, Co-CEO of Livable Cities and LED Roadway Lighting. The discussion was moderated by Wendy Luther, President & CEO of Halifax Partnership.

The panel reflected on a keynote address by Globe and Mail columnist Andrew Coyne and insights from Ian Munro, Chief Economist at Halifax Partnership. Together, they examined how productivity influences both day-to-day operations and long-term economic resilience in the region.

The Productivity Puzzle initiative is designed to deepen understanding of productivity’s role in shaping Nova Scotia’s future prosperity. At Scotia Investments Limited, we are committed to contributing to this important conversation and to supporting initiatives that drive meaningful progress in our communities.
