Scotia Investments Family of Companies’ 2024 Scholarships Recipients
Scotia Investments Limited is proud to announce the four recipients of our 2024 scholarship awards. Our scholarship program recognizes deserving students who excel academically and are dedicated to sustainability advocacy, community involvement, and shaping a bright future ahead.
Chenxi Yang is attending the University of Ottawa where she is taking her Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Marketing and International Management. After graduation, Chenxi aspires to work internationally in a business hub such as New York City or Paris as a marketing or creative director. Chenxi’s parent, Jing Sun, is a Shipping Coordinator at Maritime Paper Products in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Natnael Bahta is attending Academy Canada College where he is taking the Automotive Service Technician Program to pursue his lifelong career goal of being an Automotive Technician. Natnael’s parent, Akelom Mirach, is a Sorter at Scotia Recycling in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
Ravjot Saur is attending Queens University where she is taking her Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree with a focus on business and computer science. After graduation, Ravjot plans to pursue a career in fintech entrepreneurship. Ravjot’s parent, Gagan Deep Kaur, is a Purchasing Coordinator at CKF in Langley, British Columbia.
Ava Van Hattem is attending Nova Scotia Community College in Truro where they are taking a Diploma of Game and Interactive Art. Ava is committed to building a career that merges their artistic talents with interactive media in video game design. Ava’s parent, Danielle Proudfoot, is an Inventory & Operations Support Coordinator at Scotia Recycling in Kentville, Nova Scotia.
