CKF Inc. was recently included in an announcement by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) highlighting federal investments supporting innovation, artificial intelligence adoption, and the strengthening of the AI ecosystem across Atlantic Canada.

As part of the initiative, CKF received support for two AI‑focused projects at its Hantsport, Nova Scotia operations. The first includes a $124,500 repayable investment to execute training initiatives and launch business tools developed through artificial intelligence strategies. The second project received a $100,000 non‑repayable investment to engage external expertise to evaluate operations and to design and implement AI and digitization strategies.

The announcement was made by the Honourable Evan Solomon, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation, and highlighted how these investments are driving innovation, productivity, and competitiveness across the region. On March 3rd, representatives from CKF had the opportunity to briefly speak with the Minister about CKF’s operations and the jobs supported in the region.
